This is the first part of a two-part series where I will be building some Minecraft Tools, check out the previous build where I made a Pixel Pickaxe: • Making a Minecraft Pic...
The process is rather simple but time-consuming with the number of individual glue-ups.
I chose two similar kinds of wood like Oak and Maple for the blade and the inside of the handle. Then a contrasting wood like Walnut for the handle.
The size and scale of the Sword were not overly important, but I did end up creating 20mm cubes, so no matter what size you choose, do some rough drawings to scale and make sure that you end up with a size that you like. The Sword that I built was 16 squares tall.
