I love much just a little effects can transform otherwise ordinary sounds into something otherworldy. I bet if you added some Convolution reverb or granular synthesis it would get even more insane!

I tuned mine to C minor blues pentatonic. Theres 2 notes for the A# which I tuned on either side of sharp and flat, for extra spicy closed voicing Kalimba chords.

Did I just miss the pickup / piezo mic kit being installed? What kind of pickup kit was that?

Pre wired piezo pickup I got off ebay. 4 pack. Sorry I may have cut that part out for some reason. This video was kind of thrown together, to be honest with you.

@@dcollett connected to a toy kazoo, although it did not sound as good as I thought it would. I'm sure a different design might work better.

Get a box. Then get a contact mic and a bunch of junk. Screw junk to box then attach contact mic in box. That will be $5.

what gauge copper wire are you using at around 2:45 ??
@kilgore-recordings
4 ай бұрын
It's not copper wire, they are actually those huge staples that are used on cardboard boxes.
sorry, but the sound comes more from the pedal. imo
@kilgore-recordings
4 ай бұрын
Effects come from the pedal, sound comes from the piezo pickup, which captures the sounds of the springs and everything else on the box. You should research how a piezo pickup works. If that doesn't convince you, I will gladly upload another video without any fx pedals, just the noise box and a clean tone on the amp.

@@kilgore-recordings I know how a piezo mic works. I meant the result. I have used piezo microphones countless times. show us a sound example without FX. i think it sounds sobering. but no Offense
@victorvague3751

@@curtis_chip the magic definitely comes from the effects, but the initial sound input comes from the vibrations through the mic. the box is a starting point and the effects send it home. id wire up two mics though to evenly capture the vibrations tho
