I really appreciate these videos. I am primarily a guitar player making a blend of rock with electronic elements and i always struggle with the included preset sounds in Ableton working for my purposes. I just searched "making classic synth sounds in Ableton" and your videos popped up. I subscribe and will be watching and following along.

I love the way this pretty much follows the Warm Analog Synth tutorial, but achieving a different sound. Just shows that small tweaks can make big differences. These Analog tutorials are definitely worth coming back to and making notes on. Really like the repetition here too (not a criticism) as it reinforces knowledge. Awesome. Your channel gets a big subscribe and lots of thumbs ups!

Really glad again that you found value in this tutorial! Yes, I think I use similar patterns to find sounds, but I guess everybody kind of does it. And it helps to realize what small tweaks do to the sound. Thanks a lot for the sub and all the warm words 😊

@@JannisLeWolff Thanks Jannis, today I made myself a gothic sounding synth pad, and then tried and successfully made what sounds like a group of people playing brass instruments. Wasn’t quite sure what I was doing at times but now I well understand how to fatten up a sound and how to make it seem like more than one person is playing. Very happy with that progress. I did also try and replicate one of Orbital’s sounds but couldn’t quite get a match. That’ll come with more experience for sure. Will work through another tutorial tomorrow and then do some experimenting myself to try and work out to create some new sounds. Analog is super fun.

@@stuartleighton Great to hear! It's really fun to recreate a sound you like with what you have. But at some point I also recommend continuing with your intuition and turning it into your own sound, since you'll probably always realize that you can only get so far. Keep it up 😊

Where is the freq mod key parameter in wavetable?
@JannisLeWolff
2 жыл бұрын
Wavetable works differently- you need to use the Matrix in order to apply modulations to the sound. So for Keyboard tracking (that's what you need, correct?) you need to increase the "Note" amount for the filter frequency in the MIDI matrix.
