Lignum videos are never a disappointment. That's why I try not to miss a single one, sadly I feel very few people are really doing anything 'new' on KZitem. Lignum however never ceases to provoke such deep thought. Love it.

ensen89 - Well watch more videos like this, learn all you can about having and maintaining a wood shop, If you learn all you can without hands on experience and you feel like it's something you'd enjoy, look for woodworking classes in your area, or someone who could have you as their apprentice. Woodworking is slowly coming back so I'd say the more the merrier! Personally I don't have a workshop but that's something I'm striving for as I see this as something I'd like to make my living Remember, experience is invaluable Mistakes are moments for learning and are precious! Admire where you're at with you skill but never stop striving to improve! and last but not least, find a job you love and you'll never have to work a day in your life

I love this build. Is this something you now manufacture? I have used every tool in your shop, (not for the same thing), except the one that sliced your laminating strips. Does it also sand the surface? I couldn't tell in the video.The only wood bending I ever did was steaming Teak to go around round tables for an Orthodontist. (Worked in a shop that built medical cabinets from blueprints). The only other was using "bending birch" plywood for radius reception desks. I have watched winding stair cases being built, but never actually had any "hands on" with that. The only other curiosity is what is the weight limit for this chair? Again, thank you for taking this time to film this for us and sharing. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
@lignumchannel
4 жыл бұрын
This is only one of it's kind I made. Now when it's complete, there are a few things I would like to change like pegs from better wood, nicer rope and so on.. Maybe in the future I'l make more of them. The machine just cuts, it doesn't sand but the cut is fine enough so the wood can be glued without any further sanding or planing. I sanded these strips because I needed thinner strips than the minimum this machine can cut. About the weight limit, I'm not sure but each side can hold my weight of 85 kg without any problem so I guess the chair could carry 150 kg.. I think it would probably just bent to the ground without actually breaking if some crazy weight is applied. Thank you for watching Ted! I'm glad you like it! :D
