Really looking forward to the Bowie sheath! Looking forward to seeing your idea on a good sheath for packing a big blade. Nice holster! Got some big N frame Smith's that are just too big to pack on a belt. Well, truth be told, I don't have enough butt left to keep a belt up anymore, so I got to depend on 'spenders for gear. Headed up to the annual Mackay Barbeque this afternoon. If you've never been, you owe it to yerself to go! I think donations are weldome. We usually buy a couple of leftover roasts, and they are truly deeelicious! Roast beef sammiches for weeks! Good company from up and down the valley, though I admit I don't know many of 'em. Most times, the weather is great. Not so hot that you suffer, sometimes a jacket and somethin' soft to sit on is a good idea. Decent music. Take 'er easy!❤

At some point I will have put you to work. Already mentioned the possibility of a future R92 scabbard, however the R92 has to come first 😂. Currently there are two projects I've been seeking. One is a double shoulder rig offering the ability to interchange holsters, either by chichago screws, or snaps. The first primary holsters are for Remington new model army, colt 1849 pocket set. A second left hand new model army. Next the colt walker rh draw. The second big project is a solid shoulder setup for my 1911 Mountain man

I couldn't carry a gun in a holster. Makes me to Leary of getting the hammer stuck on something & shooting myself accidentally whether it's on my side or like you have it there on your shoulder. I have no problem with throwing a rifle over my shoulder on a sling. That I'm comfortable with. Pistols just scare the hell out of me
@MuskratOutdoors
6 күн бұрын
There's no need to be worried about them. Accidents like you mention are extremely rare. With a revolver, your hammer should be on an empty chamber in the older guns. The newer ones have a transfer bar so you don't even need to do that. Semi-auto pistols, have safeties, but in my opinion, still should be carried without one in the chamber. A lot of folks, including cops, carry "cocked and locked". It's safe, but I don't like that. I'm a revolver guy, but I do own a 1911 Colt copy too. I don't like slings....when you need your rifle, it's on your back instead of in you hand.

Weekender38, I owe a shoulder holster, and suspenders to Joel Hoffer....as well as local folks. I'm so far behind it's not even fun. If I can get caught up, I'd like to make things when there's time, then put them up for sale. Winter is the best time to do this, but then I'm hunting and trapping.....
