Did you ever wonder how a shrink pot is made, or do you want to carve one yourself? In this video you can watch the different steps in the process and the tools I use. It is not a step-by-step instruction, but you just might get inspired and start to carve one yourself! Or perhaps you might see this one part of the process you can incorporate in your own production to make it more efficient or fun.
In case you have any experiences yourself, that might help me improve my skills, please let me know in the comments!
The following tools were used: folding saw Silky Gomboy, 30 mm hand auger for drilling the hole, rubber hammer (less noisy than wood or metal), two Kirschen gouges of 12 mm and 26 mm, Flexcut 5 mm scorp, old draw knife, Bahco 301 jigsaw, old stock knife (or clogmakers knife) Mora 106 wood carving knife, Mora 120 wood carving knife, and a blue watercolour pencil.
