Thank you. We are a tree pruning and removal company. I'm so tired of tripping over chainsaws on the floor, piled on shelves, etc. Hard to tell which ones are running and which ones are waiting for small repairs. This project looks simple enough I can tackle with my rudimentary skills. Looking forward to the added space and organization :)

I had the same issue like you said, which oens need maintenance, saws laying there in the way, amd this really helped. Just make sure they dont leak bar oil when hanging like this. I found out that 2 leak so i had to fix those.

Just with the Dolmar 133 the bar oil leaked out. I checked the gaskets etc, but couldn't find any problem, so now I empty it before hanging it there.

I tried storing mine this way and all the bar oil leaks out. Is there something wrong with my saw or is the typical?
@dabberty
4 жыл бұрын
Well, it shouldn't leak of course, but one of mine, the dolmar 133 does it as well. When done using it i pour the bar oil out and hang it up. Once i have more free time i will check on what the issue is..

If the seals are all good then it is no problem. I have there one Dolmar 133 which leaks all the bar oil out, so i need to check and fix that some day soon. But now they are all winter ready anyway, so no rush with that.

@dabberty
3 жыл бұрын
I don't ! Those bastards just keep multiplying at night.. currently the score is at 17, but a few of those are mainly for spare parts, since certain parts are hard to get these days for these old old Dolmar saws. Some I will sell soon, and 1 is dedicated to be used as the engine for a drift trike for my son. When all is done, i should not have more then 4.. i hope...

A more affordable method to obtain the saws Mr Lee is describing are Chinese variations from alibaba or if you google it, there’s a Chinese mockup of Amazon for China as well. I would assume shipping from China or a port connected to China...oh..eBay...after the states hit China with tariffs, Chinese companies started shipping to a Black Sea port...change the location from and still direct sell, but through the port. It costs us a smidge more, but for you, I would think it would have actually made the price cheaper, actually. This is about all I do with my international business degree these days lol. Stay on top of trends which are quite unprofitable to myself. Curiosity I suppose. By the way, I also keep many saws. I had a shop fire, so I replaced mine, then went through the smoke affected ones. Regardless, I like a trim saw, electric saw for cutting indoors, a couple bucking saws...one clone one expensive and a lighter middle saw. Oh...extendable saw. I just took a look at eBay. Mine appears purged of this port, but eBay isn’t playing well with my mobile device today. I’ll check again later. Dhgate.com is an example.
