Challenge: make a song where you record a track, then flip it so its backwards. All final tracks of the song must be backwards. Lastly you are not allowed to listen to the reversed tracks until you finish everything, however, you are able to listen to the tracks normally.

I'm not saying you have to love the dead but they play so many different styles of music an are really good musicians I just do t understand how any true musical lover can't find something by them that makes you appreciate them. Idea: Do a collab video where you all know a fixed key, tempo, meter, and chord progression. Then without hearing what everyone is doing, combine all the final tracks. Everyone can use a click track or metronome, and the fixed chords, but that's it. Have one person do acoustic, one do rhythm guitar, one do lead guitar, one do keys, one do bass. and one do drums/percussion. No consulting or discussing style, genre, etc. Could make for a very interesting video!

A great exercise in the importance of rhythm. The Holy Trinity of Music; Harmony, Melody and rhythm. each equal in weight and one not more important than the other....except for rhythm haha. You can make a "wrong" note "right" you can abandon melody altogether and call it "jazz" but you cannot get away with dropping the beat haha. It might be the only real "rule" in Music Theory you're not encouraged to break

I love this kind of idea of setting some sort of temporary limitation to find new ways to express. The same with other types of art, like using only a few colors in painting. Plus, I enjoy hearing original music played by talented artists. Suggestions: 1) Try to compose a song without hearing the live signals whilst playing them in the moment, only the beat channel to keep the tempo. For each instrument a predetermined unheard effect will be assigned but full signal muted until end reveal. 2) Attempt to make a song backwards, then to digitally reverse it afterwards to see how it sounds. 3) Maybe make a long song starring EVERY instrument you currently own. I know that's a lot of guitars but I'm totally down with listening to a long goodass quality song, just saying. :^)
