In this video I will show you how to make a bathymetric map using my Deeper CHIRP+ sonar. Essentially I make a map of what the river floor looks like. The produced maps can be later viewed using the Deeper app, or from any device with online connectivity through their 'lakebook' service.
Bathymetry is the study of underwater depth of lake, river, or ocean floors. Bathymetric charts are typically produced to support safety of surface or sub-surface navigation (or in this case to assist fisherman), and usually show seafloor relief or terrain as contour lines.
Deeper CHIRP+ is the world’s first castable, GPS enabled, Wi-Fi fish finder that utilizes CHIRP technology. The three beam frequencies, crisp clarity and extreme accuracy makes it ideal for quickly locating target species holding spots, pinpointing predator fish and fishing in extreme depths. CHIRP+ gives you the strategic edge to catch more, catch faster and catch better.
