Discovered your channel yesterday and I've already seen many videos of yours. They're concise, to the point, and you don't take 40 minutes to explain something like this. I really appreciate it, keep going!! :)

And you could take any beat loop from your hard drive and drop it in that sampler to do the spin back on that

Great set of vids. You don’t actually need to put it in Draw mode to add a midi note within a Clip. Just double click where you want to insert and it will create a note sized to whatever grid setting you have...you can then just drag as you need.

@MadNoisy
Жыл бұрын
Select the midi note (single or multiple ones) and press shift+arrow up on your keyboard. And you can use just arrow up to move them one tone at the time. Little late answer I know, lol.🤘🤘

It's way faster to just use the delay effect : audio clip reverse, no warp, pitch+24, delay feedback 0%, dry wet 100%, repitch mode, left right linked and set to time, delay time on 1 ms, make the delay time ramp up with an automation, set to taste, automate device on/off to cut the effect off clean if needed.

Hi!! Cool tip! I am just learning ableton. Could you demo stuttering effects? Thanks!! I am looking to create multi dj edits / remixing and mashups. Someone told me logic pro x is the way to go but ableton seems pretty cool. What are your thoughts?

@@mimisaiko Sometimes I do like to show people the long way because it's sometimes easier to explain it that way - if you start using shortcuts and other functions it can confuse them as it might be something else they've never done before. But yeah, I use the legato button all the time and it's awesome, just weird I didn't this time! Towards the end of the video I do mention about stretching the note out further and I could have just dragged out the clip - again just another shortcut I forgot at the time 🙄

Hi. I'm from Australia and I personally make nu metal music on Ableton. Do you have any have tutorials on how to make a DJ Vinyl scratch? I listen to Linkin Park so songs for example, such as Lying From You, One Step Closer and Blackout.
@DirtySecretz
4 жыл бұрын
It's quite hard to make a convincing vinyl scratch sound just in the DAW because of the way your hand moves on the record but I'll see if I can give it a go on the channel :)
