AS being someone who likes working with his hands I was fascinated at the metal working and ingenious construction of the creation and construction of the grill. The human touch in the making of the appliance is to me much more significant than a mass produced product of a computerized mechanical production line - something that’s slipping away almost by the day in these times. This is more important than many know - it’s livelihoods, skills and knowledge we need to return to and not leave behind.

Should use ungalvanized steel as the galvanized steel has zinc which can be poisonous when you heat it over fire, hrpo steel would probably work better, continued success Sincerely Fabrizio

@fama5736

Human 4827 I would avoid it and use hrpo steel or regular steel, it’s just as cheap and much better for you, your burning the zinc when you light the fire is guaranteed, so why not just start with un coated steel to begin with there’s nothing to burn off it’s normal steel or iron that your body knows what to do with as long as there’s no lead in the steel, I wouldn’t use a plastic coated frying pan and burn off the plastic before I start cooking anyways I’m of a mind that try to avoid the problem to begin with but to each his own

I worked in a steel mill for 33yrs producing both galvanized and tin plated steel, this looks more like tin plate to me because of its smooth and even appearance whereas galvanize has more of a textured spangled appearance.

Even if they had a proper work environment they wouldn't use it. Have a work colleague that was a Navy Seabee and he was tasked to train the Afghans how to weld and they refused to wear boots, welding shirt, gloves, and helmet. They would just close their eyes and hope for the best and if you do that long enough you will go blind. Ignorance is bliss.
