Today, I want to make Sholezard for iftar. Sholezard is a sweet dish with a smooth, delicate texture that’s incredibly delicious and nourishing. The ingredients are second-head rice, saffron, local butter, rose water, and slivered almonds.
Sholezard can be a good option for iftar during Ramadan, when Muslims fast and refrain from eating and drinking for a long time. It can provide the body with energy, maintain a high level of blood sugar, and keep people from feeling hungry.
Tip 1: Soak the rice for a few hours.
Tip 2: Boil the water and cook the rice until mushy.
Tip 3: After adding saffron, rose water, blanched slivered almonds, and butter, remove the rice from the heat, put the lid on, and let it steam for 15 minutes.
Tip 4: As it’s warm, pour Sholezard into the dish you want to server and decorate it.
🔵Ingredients for 5 Servings:
1 Cup Second-Head Rice
15 Cups of Water
¼ Cup Rose Water
Saffron as needed
½ Cup of Butter or Oil
1 ½ Cups of Sugar
Slivered Almonds as needed
Cinnamon Powder, Slivered Pistachios and Dried Rose for Decoration
