Well worth tuning in for this. Once that fire turns to coals inside your stove it might cook a cut of meat pretty nicely. Pierce it through with a skewer stick on one end and lay the stick across the top, hang the meat right down in there. I think I'll give it a try. Thanks, Lonnie.

Lonnie, nice video as usual. Suggestions: 1) Wrap the wire around the base of your log before you even split it. That way you don't need three hands to add it on later. 2) I have found there's no need to whittle away the in interior of the four pieces. That nice trick you did of pressing 2 sticks down between the cuts provides enough of a draft "chimney effect" to keep things burning well.

This was fantastic. I had to admit, being in California I'll likely never have the opportunity to use the really cool things I've learned watching some of these videos, but when I go camping soon, I am going to utilize what I can. You do a wonderful job with these videos, I can't say it enough, I'm really happy I stumbled on to your channel.

Lonnie, I have to agree 100% with the comment of the guy below. You really are the king of the KZitem. The way you talk and the way you teach is amazing. My 17 years old boy and my wife are forcing me to take a vacation in the winter times to do at least 10% of what we learned with you, and I tell you something, we have enough knowledge now for a 30 days into the woods practicing what you taught us. Thank you Thank you Thank you. By the way, where did you buy that hand saw??? God bless you !

It was a saying between mountain men , pioneers of the old west and started back in the colonial days before the American Revolution . The Native American Indians would scalp their victims and bring them back to the English to show them that in fact killed the Colonialists ! So this was a saying that they would say upon departures as a jest !

Hello Lonnie great video on the Canadian candle also known as the swedish fire torch. Before I Forget hope you get better and that Connie is recovering either but I'm certain that with you aside her and taking care it will be okay. Just wondering if you recommand some kind of wood on top of another. What I mean by that is a hard wood or a soft wood is better. Take care you both it's always such a pleasure and so instructive to watch Your videos. Ciao from Québec ⚜
