Western style of making lanseta internationally known as "balisong", westerner bladesmiths, they always starts from blade to handle, but... Where the lanseta originally from, it's the opposite. Lanseta/balisong originally from *Barangay Balisong (*village), Taal (town), Batangas (province), Philippines. Thank you.

Excellent as always, i want to make a knife from a file, but am unsure of how to temper the file (I'm a newbie to knife making).
@ThrobinHood34
3 жыл бұрын
Honestly I've made about 3 knives out of files, and dont even have a forge, but if you have a grinder and time and patience you dont need to temper it, as long as you keep the file from heating up and losing the temper it comes with, my advice, have either a spray bottle or a container of cool water next to you and every couple passes either spray it or dunk it in the water to keep it cool, this also allows you to hold the piece with your hands as you work it
