Enjoy the process of making wooden blocks for kids that can be given as gifts this Christmas season. Blocks were partially based on the following plans: thecreatedhome...
Missed the arches, they look great. Did you use a forstner bit?

I did! I wedged two blocks together in my vice and positioned the forstner bit about halfway between each block. I forgot to film it because I was distracted by trying to get the arches correct, unfortunately

no problem! I'm excited that you took the time out of your day to watch my video! Please don't hesitate to ask me questions if you're doing your own set!@@WaterBearOfficial

I appreciate you asking questions! Being a woodworker is challenging at times because it's hard to balance the "figure it out!" mentality with actually asking questions! I tried WAY TOO MANY ways of making the arches...all of them failed until I used the forstner bit. Could have saved time if I had just asked someone @@WaterBearOfficial

Looks amazing, did you come up with your own measurements or copy someone else's. Thinking about buying a set and coping them. Thanks

Thanks! I got the dimensions for most of them through a website called "the created home." The link to the plans is in the video description!

Hi! Just tried doing wood blocks with new miter saw. The blocks didn’t come out even 😅 any tips on making sure they’re all the same size? I guess it’ll just take practice and measuring 😬 you made it look so easy!

Hi! Thanks for watching the video! Have you tried using a pre-set stop block? I set a stop block on my fence so that I could make repeated cuts easily. It's the fastest way to knock out repetitive cuts.
