Gayle, your video and yourself are as lovely as ever. For large puzzle pieces, I like to find puzzles at the thrift store and then put them in water. Most of the cardboard soaks right off and leaves the glossy picture part intact, and a thin layer of the cardboard that is a lot harder to get off but gives the piece about cardstock sturdiness. Let dry flat. I press mine in my make-shift press, made of cheap bamboo cutting boards and clamps. Kids' puzzle pieces can be gessoed and napkin or tissue paper applied. Happy crafting!

I’ve been watching some older videos, and this one was very interesting. This probably sounds outrageous, but it’s true. I have at least a thousand slides of all configurations and types and subjects. Many of the ones were sellable or giftable so I lotted them and disposed of them. That was a drop in the bucket. So I like this for ideas. If there are some different ones or new ideas you’ve come across, I’d love to see them.

It is so much easier to glue the sheet of music to the frame and then use your Exacto knife to cut out the interior and around the edge. (at least for me) Gets rid of some of the fussy cutting. I thought that the corregated cardboard birds turned out beautifully. I was laughing when you said "I love it when a plan comes together" (even when there isn't a plan in place) lol. I so enjoyed your video and it lifted my spirits too.

I love these. I wish I had my grandfather’s slides! Hearing you talk of the Swine Flu my sister’s twin boys (29 years old) both had it in 2019. Unfortunately, the oldest, Adam died from it. Thankfully Andy did get better. Was a very sad time in our family.

So sorry to hear of the loss of your nephew, Janet! That flu was especially hard on young people. I worked at the local college at the time and was home for two weeks to make sure I didn’t transmit the flu to my college work study workers. I’m sure it was a horrible time for your family and still leaves a hole where your sweet nephew should be. Love and prayers, dear one! 🙏❤️

Gayle Agostinelli, thank you! It kind of swept thru Everett, WA where they live. Everyone in the ICU at that time was a swine flu victim. They did a newspaper article on his case because they were trying a new type of treatment on him. We were sure praying it would work. Our little 10 year old granddaughter made the statement it was s good thing they looked alike then we wouldn’t forget what he looked like. Out of the mouths of babes.

I absolutely love metal embellishments! I have some photo slide holders that are new (unused) that are perfect for this, and recently acquired a magazine full of ads. I cant wait to start making some of these! I think I'm going to mix the ideas up and put the dangles on the photo slides, since they are a little wider (more modern) than the one you used.
