Jam making is also popular in Mauritius during the Chinese Guava or 'Goyaves de Chine' in French is a very important wild fruit in Mauritius. The fruit usually ripens and is harvested around April in the upper humid tropical forest.The plant here was quickly spread by birds, monkeys, brown pig and Man. Can you freeze picked fruit, freeze them and then make jam if too much at one time.

Hi yes you can do that. The jam will also keep for long times in the fridge but remember to bring it back up to temperature to use as the sugar may crystalise.
