Another legacy of our "country folk" that I hope gets preserved and passed down. You got me wanting to try my hand at making some muscadine wine! (I proudly have North Carolina roots & was introduced to this grape as a child.)

I don’t know why I am so happy. Southern African living in the states and this just made me cry with Joy, this is our essence, the dignity of the elder gentleman, the respect shown by the younger men, the knowledge transfer. This is being alive to me, living proud as we are, skin, hair and all. Thank you for these videos thank you.

Another great video and a trip down memory lane. I was born and raise in GA, and my grandparents also made home made wine, for personal use and sell on the side out the "back door" .... Black berries were there favorite for wine. I remember us all jumping in there 1957 Ford, driving down country dirt roads searching for black berries patches to pick for make wine and pies. Just to bad that I was to young to get a taste of the wine! Keep the videos coming. BTW: My wife is from Hartsville SC and she knows all the places in SC that you mention on your KZitem channel.

Back in Tennessee, my aunt had a huge black berry bush next to her greens and she knew I loved them so she would give a Piggly wiggly bag and let me pick as many as I could carry...miss them days.
