Hi! It's really been a while since I said hello. I couldn't upload the video because I'm currently preparing for a big project. This time, I made the Pontos Yamato again, which I made last year. I want to say thank you to people who always watch my videos. and if you want to buy the nipper shown here, buy it through this link.cutt.ly/Y1UtoET

Man in her time of service the IJN Yamato was one hell of a Battleship it's amazing the Japanese were able to build such a magnificent ship that she possessed the firepower to blow all of our ships out of the water all by herself and yet her crew never fired a single shell against our ships and it was during the Battle of the Philippine Sea during a battle between the Yamato and a fleet of American ships called 'Taffy 3' ships that were called 'Tin Cans' as they were all light carriers,cruisers and destroyers that by all rights had no right going up against this ship it would've been insulting and yet these ships went up against enemy ships that were nearly 10 times their size and yet these ships did the impossible they drove the Mighty Yamato and her fleet back to Japan and it became known as the 'The End of the Japanese Navy' and months later the Mighty Yamato met her end and was sent to the bottom as she was blown to pieces.

I'm crazy about your super work! The only regret I have to say is that former Japanese Imperial Navy ships used Taiwanese cypress for their decks. So when it faded due to sun exposure, it changed to a light pinkish beige. Anyway your work is great! With respect from Japan!

By far the most challenging parts of the build was the 1mm sized ladders and 25mm AA gun parts, in fact I have lost so many of the ladders I don't have enough to properly finish the kit and I got so tired of the AA guns I just bought 3d printed parts from Bunker instead.
@Sinistercabbage

How do the 3d printed parts compare to photo etch guns? Is it worth the extra money?

One thing that yamato builders get wrong if 7ts on it's let mission when it was sunk. The crew painted Blackwell around the gun turrets, small and big. They might have used funnel silt. There was a guy researching the ship and came across not only pictures but eyewitness accounts of being ordered to paint black around the turrets and the superstructure .

Great model and excellent work - just one thing, don't put the seaplane on the "roller" and then on the catapult. The "roller" was used to move the plane on the ship's deck/rail. Just a little tip 🤓

Is it just me or this particular Fujimi kit got the metal gold pieces included. I doubt it does but, still very nice little details to add, though it is technically more frustrating to do since they are tiny and there are many of them. I'd consider not to though, as the kit itself already got some very nice details, for a snap fit kit. Sure, this addon kit makes it much better, but, if you really want to finish the model AQAP, dont use this addon kit. Oh, and don't bother yourself to paint to, as the kit itself have some nice and very clean colours on them.

The Yamato certainly was a monster of a Battleship being armed with 18.1 inch main guns and being so heavily armored she weighed in at over 72,000 metric tonnes she alone was heavier than all the ships of Taffy 3 man if I was on one of those ships in Taffy 3 and I saw the Yamato in my binoculars I would have pissed myself seeing that monster Battleship coming to bear on us.
