This video made me happy and sad at the same time. Happy because you’re a real person cooking in your own kitchen making goofs like all the rest of us. Sad because I miss my mom so much and my little boys are grown up men and live in other parts of the country and I miss those innocent days. Cherish every moment as I believe you do. 💕

Hi Laura, I live in Australia and have a lemon tree outside my back laundry door. The kids stand at the door and throw their fruit peel underneath. It gets a lot of banana skin and coffee grind. I have heavily alkaline soil and have the biggest lemon tree. None of my neighbours have a lemon tree. My husband mows over the top. I think the constant feeding of the soil helps. My lemons are the size of oranges and it never seems to stop cropping. The other thing we do is put a sprinkler underneath on the really hot days for the birds and the tree. I am sure my neighbours think my tree secret is my boys but it is the fruit peel. Melissa

Weren’t you afraid of it burning?? 2) did you fertilize your lemon seed? Thank you again for an amazing channel!

The towel wicks up water and is completely wet during the baking process so I wasn’t worried about that. I didn’t fertilize the seeds when I planted, I’ll probably wait until it’s up and has a few leaves before I do that. 😊👍

I’ve planted Meyer lemon seeds as just a little fun project for the two elementary school kids I watch. It was the easiest thing I just started them in plastic water bottles and it took mine probably about three weeks to sprouts. That has been three years ago in there over 3 feet tall lots leaves in thorns which surprised me. But mine have thrived on neglect I just transplanted them this past summer into a larger pot and I only kept two of the trees and I just check them every now and again and give them water till it runs through and they’re good to go. I even Live in a dry house and they don’t seem any worse for wear for not having extra humidity. And the two little ones that were in preschool and kindergarten when I started are now in fourth and second grade they love watching the tree grow.
