At this point I'm convinced that MacroMachine's dad sees his son as his hero and waits excitedly to join him in the shop to spend time with him.

When you were moving the board around at the end I realized that people back in the 60’s would really freak out looking at them. 😵💫 They turned out great. I never knew what it took to make one with that pattern. Doing 2 at once was definitely a time saver.

It moves me to tears to see a father and son enjoying being together and creating something special together. I envy what they have so much because my dad never wanted to spend any of his time with me. Anyone who has this type of relationship with their dad is so lucky. It changes who you become. But I'm happy for anyone who gets it.

Very nice, exceptional design. I’d have put in a gutter around the periphery and a hand hold grove on opposing edges… yeah I know I’ll do that on the one I make. This reminds me of my wife saying, “never ask an engineer to make anything, because it becomes a big damn deal!”

Those are two perfect cutting boards BUT I would be afraid to use them for two reasons 1.) they are more of a work of art and I would hate to chop on them and make cuts on the board it self. 2.) that pattern you did Is a master piece but it looks like it could be a bit dizzying, seams to have a 3D effect, I would not want to be dizzy when working with a knife lol...

I personally would have done it in the opposite direction, meaning having the smaller squares in the middle and the larger squares out at the corners; just so that you can avoid having all those smaller pieces exposed to the outside, so they aren't so prone to falling off or breaking off. You guys are sure putting a lot of trust in that glue. lol... It looks great though
