Nate is so freaking underrated....he's a drummers dream! Solid and locked so damn deep in the pocket it's incredible. Those talking crap have no clue. He is dead on, comes up with original parts and his tone is exactly what is needed..the man serves the song.

His parallel distortion pedal made by ashdown is absolutely amazing and shows how much he knows about what makes a rock bass tone work. Some of the weirdest basslines in rock at times, but it's totally melodic and fluid. He's great

It's nice to hear/see Dave singing sober and without the exhaustion of a three hour show every once in a while. The whole band is awesome, I love that they are 3 guitar players, it’s such a rich sound, unique to foo fighters, Nate is my favorite bass player of all time, such tasty bass lines, he is responsible for foo fighters sound more than one might realize, I’ve recorded many foo fighters songs myself playing all instruments, and the hardest to emulate is Nate’s bass parts, his sense of melodic playing is incredible. Miss you Taylor ❤

why they always record live band band first then record individually ?
@eliasblane3226
8 жыл бұрын
Its the modern technique of recording. The live part is called a 'session,' where they record the song as it would probably be played live. Then they go back and overdub the instruments to get the best possible performance. This technique also allows lots of harmony guitars and miscellaneous instruments, giving a lot more freedom to make the song exactly how you want it without having to have a million people in the studio at the same time.
@wedgeski
7 жыл бұрын
The full session is usually to lock down the drums, and it's *much* easier for the drummer to give a good performance if he can play with the rest of the band. They'll then keep the drums from that session, and layer in the individual performances from everyone else.
@muhammadsatriabudiutama1483

would be cool if the foo fighters played in different tunings and went back to having a little more balls. All their songs now have exactly the same sound which is standard and major same chords same structure. It's hard to evolve and change up when you use the same ingredients and approach to every single song. Love the first record 1995, it's amazing.
