7:15 - Honest question, how come you don't use fixture clamps, stops, etc more with your fixture table? Are you used to working on plain tables, or do you just use it really when tacking? Obviously, with handrails / non-critical pieces a little distortion is fine but I've just been curious for a while. I am entirely jealous of your fireball squares as well lol, one day I'll have some! Good work!

See. This is why I watch this channel. Creativity. The blending of engineering and art and spontaneity. Loved the work produced. Only issue on the install. The house did not go with the rails. At least that's the way I see it.

Another GORGEOUS set of hand rails! Love them. On a side note, I actually liked the more raw vintage pre-powder coated version the best! But I can see that their beautiful home required a more refined look. Great job! And still thinking of those Swedish Fish! : )

Too bad he can’t take criticism and turned his comments off on all his videos and posts because people were saying you didn’t need a table like his to make square box’s accurate, he then proceeded to prove them wrong by going to different fab shops and only a few met the specs of the simple project. I like his videos but i won’t watch anymore because he turned comments off

You know how they say being on TV makes people look heavier, well KZitem makes everything a lot bigger. That chest mounted GoPro makes your arms look like they're 10 feet apart. Is this true? 😋

So I have a question why do you make your music so much louder than normal audio? So when you measure things in CAD you know you can also measure on the other side. I program in Gibbs cam for a living and we do that for the guys all the time so they can see what they're doing when they're fabricating weldments. 😊

Yeah, it'll take some tweaking over time! We had the GoPro set to the widest field of view possible, but next time we'll have to tilt it up higher when Tay is welding because he likes to lean in as close as possible. So we had a little bit of a crotch cam going on during welding 😅

Not code compliant but I like it just the same.
@MattWeber
Жыл бұрын
Depends. The code primarily focuses on balusters, but depending on design you can apply for a exemption, or it simply not even fall under code depending on where the handrail is being installed. This is why you will see handrails completely void of balusters at all often. For example when they are "middle" rails on wide steps, they don't need to fit baluster spacing codes as they are not meant to protect the user from falling over an edge. This allows very easily for more artistic filling of the space like he is doing.

Very nice artwork! How do you manage the liability issues associated with non conforming handrails. My insurance does not cover me if I knowingly supply deficient/ illegal stair components. My attorney informed me that a waiver for nonconforming products is worthless and actually is an admission of deficiency.
