It’s magic that the color they start and the color they end up looking like are soooooo vastly different!! Very beautiful!!

I have made several pieces with the glaze combination you recommended but I didn't quite get the ocean-ish look yet. Also, the black surface seems to be matt and uneven. I guess you applied multiple coats of black glaze? Also, I think the clay matters too. Anyways, I really appreciate that you shared so much info and I am really working on this to reach your level of art.

Aww you’ll get it! Here’s some more specific info for you to get hopefully closer to success! The clay body is called CCSS from tuckers pottery supplies but you could probably use a red clay or a sandy coloured clay. Do three coats of obsidian as a base, and then pour the other glazes into the bowl instead of brushing them on (don’t pour too much cuz it’ll be thick). Try and pour the glazes in so they stay somewhat separated and then swirl them around by tilting your bowl until it looks marbled, but carefully so they don’t end up all mixed together 😊 hopefully that helps!

Does it need to bake first b4 applying glaze? Thanks

Yes! It needs to go through a bisque fire before applying glaze 😊

I was expecting it to be one bowl from start to finish, but that was like 3 different ones.

It was a 4 bowl set and the one I used for the trimming clip was too thin at the bottom so it got a different foot than the others 😂 luckily they were for a friend and he didn’t mind lol

@@theclaycollective The end product looks super different compared to when you were swirling it around inside. I love the look of them, totally not what I expected it to look like at the end though.

Hi there! These were sold a long time ago and I can’t remember the exact dimensions, but they were quite large! Sorry I don’t have more details for you 😖
