New foster carer Kirrilee joins us this week and gives some insights into her first two weeks fostering for The Rabbit Sanctuary, which she has really enjoyed. Bunny Martell, featured in this video, has just been adopted and Kirrilee has taken another bunny home from The Rabbit Sanctuary to foster.
Kirrilee is our only Foster Carer in the Taree area and we would love some more to sign up to form a little network in the area!
Kirilee has four rabbits of her own, and juggles that with fostering up to two rabbits. In this video she shares tips on how you can juggle having a foster bunny as well as your own bunnies. Kirrilee mentions how it’s important to keep bunnies that aren’t bonded seperate, and she does this by giving them their own space and alternating free roam time.
Many people are concerned with being able to fit a foster bunny into their home, and Kirrilee advises to “get creative with your space”- pens don’t always have to be a square shape!
This video also features the Vetafarm Origins Rabbit Pellets donated to The Rabbit Sanctuary by @vetafarm, allowing each Foster Carer to have a big bag for their foster bunnies, and a small bag to each adopter. Thank you for your support @vetafarm
