I absolutely love my Vevor bearing puller. Ive pulled quite a few and for what I paid ($100) the set-up bearings I made basically paid for the tool..

I bought one. A must for gears. I also bought a yeswelder cut-65 that'll show up tomorrow. Saw zaw blades are too expensive. Hopefully it last.

love me some new tools. I have the original yukon brand that vevor copied. Absolutely would never go back to the old way of using splitters. This is a must have tool for doing axles. also, fun fact, you can use it to install stub axle seals on ford stupid dooty axles.

I don't use the old bearings for the setup bearings, i always get 2 sets of the new bearings from the company I like the best and use one set for the setup bearings. I find it saves time and are closer of the final numbers. I am however buying a new set of clam pullers mine are worn out and were never as nice as this set.

My new bearings are koyo , I plan on measuring them against the old bearings(width) to see if they are same and adjusting if needed

How does the puller contact the bottom (inside) of the bearing? Does it engage with the outer edge of the bearing cage? Thank you!

Pretty much. it just has like a clamshell that just tucks underneath the bearing so depending on how big the bearing is I doubt it makes it to the inner race part

BEWARE!!!!!! I placed a order through VEVOR for a Carrier & Pinion Bearing Puller. Upon arrival of the tool I went to use it for the first time and the main housing piece the bolt would not turn by hand or by a 1/2 inch ratchet. I took a flash light like and shined it down the hole and it appeared to have some hard looking gunk all down the threads especially toward the top where the thread insert is. It appeared to me to be welding slag or big chunks of paint. I ended up having to take the housing insert it in a vice with some rags so it wouldn't scratch. Then I took my high torque impact and tried to break it loose. It wouldn't budge at all. Then before proceeding I took some oil and poured down the hole to help lubricate it but it still would not turn. I then had to break out my torches and to heat up the bolt and finally got it to move the bolt a few threads. I worked on the bolt screwing it in and out for close to two hours before I was able to get it function semi properly. I attempted to reach out to customer service to see if i could get a replacement due to it being defective out of the box and that I wanted a replacement housing and bolt the lady was real nice she created a ticket and sent it up to support. Support responded the next day to basically stating that there is no way that could happen due to them screwing the bolt in the housing by hand before being put in to a box. I was completely dumbfounded I was told I was a liar over email. This is not customer service at all!!!!!. I asked for the replacement parts to make it right however I get insulted by support. I really think this company needs to get some quality control or to check over there process to ensure this doesn't happen to everyone else. Also to have support revaluate how they handle troubled tools....If the company decides to make it right by giving me a replacement tool or housing I will respond with some updates.
