HERE'S THE RECIPE! yeet Ingredients CRUST: -2 ½ cups flour -1 tsp salt -6 tbsp unsalted butter, chilled & cubed -⅔ cup vegetable shortening, chilled -½ cup ice water FILLING: -2 cups hulled and chopped fresh strawberries -8 oz cream cheese, softened -1 egg -1-2 tsps vanilla extract -1 cup plus 3 ½ tbsp sugar -3 tbsp cornstarch Instructions 1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F CRUST 1. Mix flour and salt together in a large bowl, then add the butter and shortening. 2. Mix all of the ingredients until mixture resembles coarse sand, you can do this with forks, a pastry cutter, or by blending everything in a food processor. 3. Add ice cold water one tbsp at a time to the mixture until there is just enough moisture that the dough begins to stick to itself and forms large clumps. Do not use more water than needed. 4. Transfer the dough onto a floured surface, and fold the dough into itself using floured hands. The dough should not be overly sticky and should come together easily. Cut the dough in half, and form two discs. Cover with plastic wrap and store in fridge for at least one hour but up to 5 days. FILLING 1. In a food processor, process strawberries with cornstarch. Add puree and 1 cup sugar to a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, and then reduce heat until the mixture becomes thick like jam. Set aside. 2. In medium bowl, combine together egg, vanilla, cream cheese and 3 ½ tbsp of sugar with a hand mixer until light and fluffy. Set aside. ASSEMBLE 1. Roll pie dough out flat onto a floured surface and cut out rectangle shapes until there is no dough left, making sure to cut an even numbered amount so you have enough top and bottom layers to complete the hand pies. 2. To the bottom layers of the pies, spoon some of each filling mixture down the center of the pie, making sure to stay clear of the edges so the pie doesn’t overflow. 3. Place the top layer of dough on top of the filled bottom layer, and press the edges together with your fingers to seal the pie. Cut a slit down the center of the hand pie. 4.Brush each pie with egg wash and place in the oven for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown. 5. Enjoy!

Beautiful pie! I would subscribe this channel if this video has less yapping. Prefer straight to point ASMR style.

Honestly the shot is what you needed all along, helps bring clarity. Yours looks so good! The color looks better and love how flakey real pies are.

Do you think this could possibly be made into a whole pie?
@CrudeCulinary

definitely! however, follow a traditional pie crust recipe and then just use the filling recipe from us. :) just because the pie crusts in this recipe may differ with cooking times from a traditional pie.
