This is an amazing build, thanks for sharing! Btw, the Nano's VIN pin hits an onboard regulator that'll support at least 12V so you could pull off the 12V regulator and remove the 5V regulator entirely, perhaps for a future project. Looking forward to more of your creations!

Huge respect for the modularity. That is literally a prime focus of anything I build (also those chip on board are interesting)

It's an amazing and beautiful build. For an emergency power cutoff maybe at a minimum install a fuse at the battery? I'd be curious to know the total power draw under load. Multi cell LiPo packs like that have very little internal resistance and are easily capable of 40C+ discharge rates so with a 4S 5000mAh LiPo pack if you were to have a short or stall a motor you could potentially dump 200 Amps into your circuit. I stalled a digital servo (didn't have overload protection programmed on) once in a project and melted the servo circuit board and wiring in the blink of an eye using a small capacity 2S LiPo- killed the battery pack instantly.

Thank you for your videos! I gave up working on my own LED wings earlier this year and your videos posted after have been so helpful!! Thank you for inspiring me to get back to my LED wings projects! I've been struggling to figure out powering my own wings with RGB LED strips, so some stuff i'd like to know more (maybe some topic suggestions? :) ) - Syncing the animations between both wings for example.. I have to power/control my wings individually since I think it draws too much power as opposed to running a whole entire parallel circuit for both

Thanks for your kind words! I've made some videos about powering LEDs and powering a large quantity of LEDs. (BTW you can connect each wing to its own power supply *(just have all components share ground) and connect them to the same data line to have all strips perform the same animation)

@Zibartas

I get most of my tools online as they are often the cheapest - like a welding machine, basic things like angle grinder, vise, files etc. For actual metal itself, that depends on your location. Here in Denmark you need to be registered as a company to buy such supplies - so I am limited to what I can find abroad/online, and have it sent over. Hope this helps! :D Yay Internet!

The wings are amazing. The posture though... It completely kills the immersion. Is that because they're heavy? That bum position like a Brazilian samba dancer really doesn't make it look great.
