Candy is adorable! I’ve seen grownup candy but loved seeing her as a puppy. Your jumper turned out great! I would definitely chop the sleeves on the blouse since you live in Florida and it’s too warm for them anyway. I’m really enjoying your channel and find myself watching you pattern haul videos even though I’m 3 years late and I’m sure they’re not in the store anymore. ❤❤❤

Yes, I really liked this even though I had never heard of "The Queen's Gambit" or seen either of the other outfits KZitemrs had been making. I watched this because it was YOU and an interesting vintage pattern. I loved your story telling as you worked, even providing the pattern with a back story. I also enjoyed meeting the cute little furry family member. Your sewing bravery inspires me, though for now I am only sewing sequined trim to melodrama costumes - my stage sister and I dress alike., according to our director. You are keeping me sane and entertained. Thank you.

Love to see the sizing up/slashing and spreading! I'm gonna be doing that for a pattern soon. So any secrets/tips you have are welcome. I have tended to add to edges in the past.
@StephanieCanada
3 жыл бұрын
I do both, slash and spread as well as I tend to add to the back center seams. I am technically not doing it properly. I have been told that I am not supposed to add in more than 1/2” per piece before tracing and doing it again, but I am LAZY and just do it all at once. (Which may be the cause of some of my fit issues, but oh well?!)
@ReinaElizondo
3 жыл бұрын
@@StephanieCanada Whatever works! When adding to the center back, do you compensate for the increased neck scoop and reworking the shoulder angles? I'm having some weird effects on a wrap front project, and I'm tempted to just fill in the weirdness with a collar stand instead of reshaping all the connected pieces. For the wrap front pieces, I might just have to disconnect and rotate until the darts are lined back up. Or just relocate the darts. Ugh.

do you ever put a pinch of fresh lime in your espresso? I read about it in a travelogue about Italy and have been hooked on it ever since. I wore jumpers all the time as a school kid - not a uniform I just loved a tweed jumper & clean line blouse. close as I ever got to Girly attire. Brava for showing the upscale process. Great project
