Those look great. I don't know if I'll every try making banding, but I appreciate watching it. Thank you for posting.

Excellent instructional videos. Well presented, and thank you for showing the key steps with critical details explained. Thank you also for not making us watch every single cut and repetitive operation. Many great KZitemrs would have crammed this video into a 137 minute cure for insomnia. You have obviously done this enough to figure out that working in smaller segments avoids error creep, and stacking small mis-alignments that can ruin large sections when they add up.

Have purchased from you a few times. Top of the line banding, I always wondered how you did it. Great instructions keep up the great work.

Brilliant. I know this video is a bit old, but there are some awesome fence systems out there now that allow you to cut 10/1000ths of an inch up. Accurately. Might look into "re-saw" fences for the bandsaw. I can't remember the guy's name or channel, but I've seen KZitem videos where the guy is using one for 10,15,20,and 50/1000ths in soft and hard woods to make thin boards for overlaying cheaper woods (I can't remember the name of this thin stock off hand).

That's gorgeous. If one wanted to purchase inlay banding from you, how do they get ahold of you? What other designs have you made and where could we see them?

Is that Laguna's special resawing bandsaw? Do you like using it? On the ones I have used I don't like the fence.

Yes, it's a Laguna SUV. I've had the saw for about 1-1/2 years and its a good saw, with lots of power (3hp, 240volts). I do not particularly like the stock fence, but it is adequate for resawing up to about 6" Larger stuff needs a taller fence.

Great work. I'm wondering if you could shoot your videos in a higher resolution, say 480p or 720p. They are grainy and the detail gets lost in pixelation. Cheers

Very nice but the way you are doing some of the steps takes way too long without any added precision like when you glued the strips in a step like configuration putting them all together up against a stop and then glueing them all together would save a tone of time and would be more accurate then trying to line them up in a stagger just to save a small amount of wood you do make very nice banding
@amrsmith7160

In response to Jason B and anyone watching this now, like me: If he would have stacked them without staggering them he would have lost some of his banding in the first cut. If you would have ever cut a 45 degree cut on a 90 degree edge you would know that you lose a triangle end piece. After all that work of making the blocks why would you want to lose some of it in the first 45 degree cut? This way he has no waste and the staggered ends actually create the 45 degree angle that he needs. If you are making a lot of inlay that 'small' amount of wood as Jason put it, on each first cut, would probably end up being the equivalent of a whole strip of banding. I can never understand why some people think they always know better than the professional.
