When it comes to pine, you def do not have to go through all the grits sanding. It’s very soft..also when needing to know when to go onto the next grit, use a pencil and draw lines all over the piece, once all the lines are sanded off, move to the next grit. That’s a great method especially when using hard woods.

Thanks for watching the video... I've noticed especially with pine that if you don't sand it well enough, the stain absorbs very splotchy, resulting it in an uneven look to the finish

Nice work! Mathew Peech has a recent video on youtube the includes how to make a miter clamp. Its a simple that will prevent some of the headaches clamping corner joints.
