I love how rain and water is animated in Makoto Shinkai films. It looks pure and very eye catching because of how it aesthetically plays a part in the film. Love how tried to replicate that special scene

i love this so much. Shinkai's works are so beautiful. I love listening to your thought process behind the decisions you make in your drawings. It's super helpful for me to think about :) I know you're asking for Shinkai works, but if you haven't already, I hiiighly recommend checking out Mamoru Hosoda's works such as Summer Wars or The Boy and the Beast. Would love to see your interpretation of those :D

Daniel Lassen when I first started doing landscapes about a year ago I felt exactly the same way, but then I started doing Virtual plein air studies using random locations from google streetview (mapcrunch.com) and my level of comfort with environements increased a lot since then, can really recommend this :D watching a lot of speedpaints and studying fundamentals like colors and perspective helps a lot too

love it :) I have technical question :D in 6:10 you are painting colors on lady, but i can't understand how you fill colors in exact shape. you haven't ''locked transparent pixels'' or made a clipping mask. ...? how you do that?

I got into Shinkai's work when I first heard about Your Name. A school friend referred me to your art and the first thing I thought of was "WOW, this guy's skies and backgrounds are as vibrant and gorgeous as Shinkai's work!" I also love your style, that it's so painterly and soft. I've been subscribed to you for a while now and when I saw this new video I had to pause it immediately so I could watch Garden of Words for the first time, and now I've come back and finished watching your video. It was such a fun experience! Now I got to see and feel the mood and feelings you've captured in a single image. Thank you for sharing.

Incredible work!! Absolutely love the vibes and the way you interpreted it. So much to learn from your work! 😃 For your next piece, Your Name would be awesome! Perhaps the scene where there’s the shrine maiden dance, or when Taki’s around the cave shrine. Super excited for your next work! 🤩
