Brought back memories of when my wife and I took the ferry and executive train back to KL, in July 2022. Loved the train ride. It was clean, cool and on time.

Ets such an underrated train for tourist/traveller because they always choose to ride a bus because the train ticket always sold out a month before the actual ride, it also the fastest option to and from butterworth, bus ride takes longer time

I like the announcement by the staff at station. Loud, clear and simple. Better than any public address systems.

Saya pun suka the good old ferry. When i got to ride on the ferry again just recently i could remember vividly the good old days countless times riding on it.When oneself is old and don't have much time left those memories are priceless. Kalau dah nyanyuk kan xbolih ingat.

12:55 I lived in Singapore in the early 70s and we went to Malaysia during the school holidays. The smell of those roasting chestnuts in Jalan Petaling drags me back in time 50 years. I walk along the strip and snack. I usually stay at a hotel right on the pedestrian mall, but I'll give the Space Hotel a look. Thanks for the video. I'll subscribe and check out the other places you visit in Malaysia.

I am Malaysian myself, and hardly I take any buses to anywhere. Comical. But frankly our transportation needs necessary transformation. The system as a whole is still below average. Again, only time will tell. Thanks for sharing your journey!

Honestly I had no clue that the transportation system was such a problem for locals until I posted this video. The bus ride was so fast I fell over several times haha that's why I didn't record that much on the actual bus 😅. Thanks for watching!

For the ferry charges, it has always been that way. As Penang is an island, they expect you to take a return trip if you depart from butterworth to penang. Therefore the original departing price from butterworth includes the return price from penang. It is the same on the penang bridge.

In Dubai, you don't have a card or no credit on the card, you cannot board a bus. Top up machines are only at big stations. Buses there do not accept cash nor credit card.

Very nice video. Too bad you did not venture into my favourite part of KL - Chow Kit ! I have always wanted to try the ETS from Butterworth to KL Sentral but the timing of the ferry (7am from George Town) and the train departure time (7.50am) is just too close for comfort.

I should of mentioned this in my video but that was exactly what I was afraid of! Missing the train because of the ferry times are very far apart. We ended up waiting a few hours in butterworth station but it was worth it! 😂 Haven't been to Chow Kit but now I'm looking into it! Thanks for the recommendation!

ETS train is useless for cyclist. Even folding bike in completely sealed luggage is not allowed in this train. A nonsence ruling.
