I will definitely take Malaysia as my priority. Why Malaysia? Malaysia, you can have what you want to have. Food is better, good affordable healthcare, cheap rent, cheap to travel, cheap car rentals Secondly, people are friendlier and not so in the rush(not so kiasu), can speak English mostly, most Malaysian are polyglot, eager to help, Malaysian are very humble and polite. Malaysia has lots of places to explore.

I'm a half Singaporean and Malaysian..i prefer Malaysia more, it's a unique, a laid back country to live in.. Malaysia is rich in natural sources ,>> petrol and gas are cheaper, cheapest in the SEA, Malaysia is a melting pot of Asian and Western foods cuisines and cultures and bestowed with beautiful natural pristine white sandy beaches and islands and the richness of flora and fauna, one of the oldest tropical rainforest in the world and natural wildlife park conservations in both Peninsula and Borneo.. Almost everything you can find here with affordable prices.. .Not forgetting Malaysia has the most skyscrapers in the SEA.. especially the gigantic the second tallest tower in the world Merdeka 118 and Petronas Twin Towers the tallest twin towers in the world since 1998 , TRX Exchange tower all are here.. Literally, Malaysia is still developing and definitely it'll be the best place to live in especially in this region one day..😊

Yes, Malaysia has mich to offer but SG offers a different vibe. The difference is tangible but not as much as SG vs Indonesia. I remember getting off the ferry in Batam for the first time and was amazed at the difference.

Mee too. Half sg half my. Best of both world. Most malaysians go to singapore for to make money . Most singaporeans go to malaysia for shopping and holiday. So you can tell that singapore is expensive and malaysia is cheap. Many people work in singapore to earn money higher currency and pay and then retire in malaysia for its relax and cheap. Can buy a car and live in bigger house in malaysia. Thats the main difference.

@@coolzack23 yes, the pay is higher but minus the rental, accommodation and food etc.. sometimes not worth it or perhaps come to equal.. Most SG come to Malaysia because they have not much choice to venture out and explore the nature not only in Peninsula Malaysia but in the northern parts like Thailand and Indo China..at least these places are the only nearest and cheapest places for SG to release stress, holiday and shopping..

@@decTac Yes. hence alot of malaysians live at the border JB. So save on rent and food. But have to sacrifice time as long can earn in sgd. Especially RTS is gonna finished soon. Malaysia food price is getting more expensive. At least in singapore you can still get chicken rice for s$ 2.50. In KL average price is about rm9 which is about the same price even after convert can be even cheaper in sg.

Most importantly, when you live in Rome just do what the Romans do. Likewise if you live in Malaysia, enjoy what the Malaysian enjoy. When you are in Singapore, entertained yourself like what the locals do. Good to compare countries but it should not stop you from visiting both places

Hi Craig, great video, just for the crack - what is "personal favourite" to live in if you was not married, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia or Singapore or another SE Asia - enjoy - Patrick

Thanks Patrick. Thailand was always a favourite of mine, it's great for a holiday but not sure if I could live there permanently. Singapore is great but it's small. Indonesia was an experience but I feel has less to offer than Malaysia. Difficult question. I love the Philippines for obvious reasons and it kinda suits my lifestyle since I got older.

Organizing Malaysian cities is challenging since there is a lot of private land and the owners are unwilling to let go, just look at the older buildings that are still in the city and the roads are not straight.
@ChasingTheSun1967

Yes that was one thing I noticed. There is a lot of new development in KL mixed in with older buildings surrounding them. I lived in Bukit Bintang which is a bit like that.

@@ChasingTheSun1967 That's why new towns outside of KL are being developed, such Putra Jaya, and now the empire city of Damansara, which is expected to be completed in 2025, although it's also a hilly location.
