This is my first time watching your video and this one is a real eye-opener...shocking! I hope that more Malaysians would watch this to realize how lucky we are, and how life is so much more simpler here compared to some other countries. No country is perfect, but the things that you mentioned would bug a lot of people!

Most Malaysian already grateful for their country lol you won't find a large group of Malaysian immigrates and making other countries their second home and bringing their whole family over like practice by people of other countries 😆

Regarding the eggs, there are a few reasons. 1. Eggs are not washed here. 2. Different feed, breed, environment. 3. Most are brown here, the lighter colour eggs that are beige->white are known as Kampung eggs. They are similar to free range eggs and usually good ones have very very orange yolks, they sometimes even have double yolks for the well fed (eg: fish guts, worms, etc and not commercial made chicken feed) home reared chickens. also in msia you never ever drink tap water, it always needs to be boiled. that is why the water is not free in the stores. you are paying minimal 50cents to rm1 for the water heating process + washing of the cups you use. and in cafes/restaurants that provides you free non bottled water when and only when you order something from the store, is because they put in specialize filters for drinkable water, as well as the charges for cleaning the cups etc after.

thats because in the US, you guys can get water directly from the tap while here in Malaysia, water even from the restaurant meant distilled or filtered or boiled water. so basically the price was for their electrical or service charge 😅

Shooting incidents in Malaysia is rare but it does happen. Was in a mall few years back where a jewelry store got robbed, both the security guards and a few robbers got killed in the shootout. And less than a day the remaining robbers got caught because one of the dead robbers had the hotel card to where they stayed.

Enjoy your stay here in Malaysia, Chris! Btw, there are cafes and restaurants here that offer free water if you're dining in. Some places I've been to actually served me a glass of water without my asking for it. 👍👍

Here in Poland it's similar to Malaysia, we have free healthcare, pay with cash in a lot of places, cashiers can sit in the shop, we also don't have free water in the restaurants, which is a shame. Everyone should have rights to ask for water everywhere, but I have to carry a 2l bottle with me if I'll travel somewhere and when it's finished I have to buy a new one. Why do you have to pay for WATER? It's a life source, it should be free

Water was free, heck even iced water was free but then some entrepreneurs (read: greedy mfers) started charging people for water and being the kind of folks we are (not complaining directly, just go with the flow type) we just abide by it. And then everybodys doing it.

Healthcare in America is a business, while in other countries it is a human right and for data internet in malaysia it has a real limit, it has a real limit, 50gb per month if I'm not mistaken... the telco company uses the word unlimited as an attraction for customers only, because the word unlimited is not a legal offense... even though the actual fact is that the user is being cheated by the telco company

Lol! Chris was ogling over Malaysian’s plus points at the same time ogling over her. I don’t know which is which.. haha American’s egg is so ‘white’. Our chickens are basically Asian, hence it’s brown! 😂 Too much melanin. About free water. Only some restaurants do that, they found it a hassle if you’re not a paying customer. Some others do serve you free btw (depending on owners). Some charge you small fee for a warm water, and slightly expensive if you ask for iced water, to cover the cost of ice cubes and service. She is adorable! I like that she is clueless about American’s style of livings. That what makes this video interesting.

Correct me if I am wrong. But isn't it mandatory for Americans to buy health insurance and I believe most companies also provide health insurance for their workers? Anyway, I think you are missing one really important point. The cost of living in America is high because people make a lot more money, in Malaysia people make a lot less. So you add & minus here and there it is pretty much the same. Probably the only thing that can save a lot of money by living in Malaysia is healthcare. As a person making US dollar wages you will feel everything is so cheap but as a person living here making Malaysian Ringgit salary it's not that much different to be honest.
@leoshanbob

in todays economy not fixed that country making less will always have cheaper cost.
@secrets.295
Жыл бұрын
@@leoshanbob No. Its a supply and demand thing. "Lower cost" depends on who you are speaking to. In KL to buy a small apartment price can easily reach RM 500k. That is not cheap for Malaysians. For Americans that will be around $120k. That is cheap for them. But if they work here and they make RM wages like us. He probably wouldn't think Malaysia is that cheap either

Susan, there are eggs with white shell but they're not as common as the brown ones. Yellow yolks are not common too. 11:05 Kinda sad that you guys in the US only has Heinz's ketchup brand... I guess Malaysians are spoiled for choice when it comes to ketchup and chilli sauces. 11:29 Susan, that's 'cos he's not adventurous when it comes to food. 😆 24:15 I've requested Duolingo to add BM too!!! There is no free healthcare. You pay with your taxes. I rather pay for my own healthcare, then pay via taxes for others who go to the emergency room with a cold or finger cut. The healthcare in Canada is "free", but you have to wait for ages until you get your treatment. I like the system in Switzerland. Everybody pays for his own healthcare insurance and gets good and quick treatment. If you pay more than the minimum, you get some benefits.
