Michael Oliver was poor for both sides yesterday. Missed fouls all over the park. Trossard had already shaped to pass the ball when the whistle went. Oliver should not be officiating big games if he can't hack it.

Just FYI trossard kicked the ball 0.82 after whistle. So he did have time to not kick it

Somes refs need to be relegated to lower leagues for sure

The same referee chose not give szoboszlai a 2nd yellow when Liverpool lost at home last week. Arsenal are the only example of this rule being applied even though it happens almost every game. We'd be fine with the Reds if rules are applied consistently. That is the frustration. As a football fan, who asked for this? Martinez (Utd) makes a dangerous tackle, Spurs keeper handles a ball outside his box but the Rice and Trossard incidents are seen as bigger punishments that need to be stamped out. Where is the logic?

Arsenal are not the only team where players a booked for delaying a restart

city were so unimaginative in how they tried to break Aresnal down, really disapointing. it wasn't really great arsenal defending or some sort of genius to leave Dias and Walker to pass the ball around in front of them and have all the shots. man city never tried anything different until right at the end. they didn't try to overload areas of the box to create space elsewhere, didn't change up who was on the edge of the box to take those long range shots. put haaland out there, make Arsenal commit players to closing him down and take a couple of players outside the box. put all your tippy tappy players to attack the same half of the box. get your dribllers further out and running into the box at pace rather than trying to go from close at a standing start. just do something different.

Not sure how an inconsistent level of decision-making renders the decision made incorrect. All it does is support the argument that indeed yellow cards should be shown for that act. It’s fucking annoying and more should be done to reduce time wasting, not less. The spectacle is completely undermined by sore loser tactics of feigning injuries and kicking the ball away as merely two examples.

Trossard should've got a second yellow for the foul on Bernardo Silva anyway.

I can't understand how anyone can think this should be a SECOND yellow card in a game between the 2 challengers for the title for "delaying the restart" by kicking the ball towards an Arsenal player breaking half a second after the referee blew his whistle while Bernardo is rolling in the ground. Like it's so fucking stupid, it ruins the game for no reason at all. I genuinely would not want a city player to be sent off for that reason. Also if you think the foul itself deserves a card it also doesn't make sense cause Haaland commited the safe foul twice in the game in a WAY worse manner and got nothing.

I assumed the yellow was for the foul in the back, clear yellow, could have avoided all the 'controversy' about giving a yellow for kicking the ball away.

Yesterday's Manchester City vs Arsenal was probably their most memorable game and that says alot about their "rivalry", but pundits and journalists calling it a "Premier League epic!"? Give over.
