The rangers risk their lives protecting the animals. They also need to be protected. What we don't see is if a ranger tries to stop poachers they turn their attention to rangers and try to kill them. Thankfully we have people with military experience who go and train the rangers. They teach them how to even dismount a vechicle and how to attack the enemy. The rangers also learn that when together they need to take turns firing their weapons so as not to have all of them holding an empty gun.

@@donberry6079Are you sure about the Thais treating the elephants like fellow citizens? I've lived there for 17 years, and witnessed a lot of cruelty to elephants. @@donberry6079 lol no, whenever you see elephants around humans you can be sure that the elephants were abused. That's part of their training. People beat and torture them for weeks until one guy who didn't torture the elephant shows up and "frees" him. The elephant sees that guy as his savior then and stays loyal. So the animal is tricked into loyalty. The sanctuaries around Thailand often buy the elephants from these owners and take care of them without abusing them.

I believe this could help you and many others. I had and have the same questions many times because of man's cruelty to animals and especially PEOPLE. In the book of John, KJV, we read: 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. Verse 5 is key. The flip side is that the believers in Christ (the Light) CANNOT COMPREHEND THE DARKNESS !! So, if you cannot understand the cruelty of poachers who prey on animals and Pedophiles who prey on children, then rejoice (for your soul's sake), for the light of Christ makes it impossible for you to relate to the filth and evil of this world.

I imagine those Rangers sleep well at night, knowing they are doing God's work...first hand. If not, they should. Just amazing. So nice to see in these times we live in, that there are still angels walking this Earth every single day. God bless the Rangers all over the world, filled with compassion, love and humanity. Helping those who can't help themselves.

The work of these wonderful people is astounding. The risks are vast. Yet they know that if they don't help no one will. That is their mission. Keeping the most vulnerable safe. Returning a baby to it's mom. Respecting life.

How wonderful that the rangers were able to save the baby elephant. Elephants are Way more loyal to their family than humans. ❤

Animals are much smarter than we typically give them credit for. If you spend a little time in nature it becomes evident, but unfortunately modern capitalist life doesn't support that. Heck, the first thing they do in poorer areas is to pave over nature which only makes the people there feel more trapped.

Hmmm...why the comparison on pages like this with humans? Maybe when we can compare 8 billion elephants on Earth with our human beings then it can be a fair comparison? Include as well all the complexity of being human then it would be an interesting point. Otherwise, it comes off as Anti-Human. Sorry, not down for that.

@@machtnichtsseimann You're absolutely right. Any heartwarming videos about animals, there are always people who cant just watch a nice video and enjoy it for what it is. Someone always has to say something about animals being better than humans. It's completely ridiculous and illogical.
