Where did you buy the train ticket? Is there a ticket machine for northern trains?

The best way to buy tickets is online. Just put the destination and choose the best fare. Alternatively you can buy tickets in rail stations from ticket machine. But that costs more and and not always available.

Almost all train apps show different available routes for the journey. "Trainline" I believe shows the most options.

If you were booking an advance ticket from Manchester to Liverpool, which company would you use and why ? There seems to be various options .. TransPennine Express, East Midlands Railway and Northern Rail. Prices are £4.30 (TPE) or £5.90 (NR, EMR) .. for 2 adults with a Two Together railcard thanks !

Depends on your situation and priorities. Different companies may use different routes... some are faster... some catch all stops... some have better seats than others.

Hey, a really nice video 📽️❤️ I had few questions it'd be great if you could answer! I am a student at University of Manchester and will be shifting there this month only. I have actually booked my accommodation in Liverpool and my college is in Manchester. So I wanted to know that how is the commute. Is it easy, hassle free or hectic and please give some pros and cons if you could. I tried finding homes in Manchester but unfortunately all were booked to I have to look in Liverpool.

Hi ya... Thank you so much for commenting and wish you all the best for your uni days. Coming to your questions... Traveling from Liverpool to Manchester is pretty easy and hassle free as theres train ( northern) leaving every half an hour. And if you get off at Manchester Oxford road station your uni will be within 5 mins of walking distance (or you can rent a bike for so). I'd suggest you to get return tickets always as they come cheaper compared to those single ones (or maybe get a seasonal ticket). Although traveling from Liverpool to Manchester is not that of a Hassel I'd suggest you to get accomodation in Manchester cause pretty soon two hours of travel every day will drain you. (But don't worry... Enjoy this year to the fullest and for next year try to find an accomodation near Manchester) Also going a little far from the uni will get you cheaper accomodation for sure. Hope it helps ✨
