Hi guys, I have this backpack for my p3, some things to note: That foam cut-out you have for your batteries is nice, but consider you'll want the batteries in LiPo bags when you fly with the bag and they won't fit with that. Not a major issue of course.. I use a gimbal guard purely for the bag, because when your props move around in the top flap, they inevitably will be pushing hard on the gimbal. I bought a set of rotor caps. about €5,- and they cover the whole rotor, since that seems like a weak feature of this bag having it upside down. I've had this as carry-on with Vueling (a320), Transavia (738) and Jet airways (777 & 737) with no probs getting it through or fitting it in the overhead. If you have a micro 4/3 camera like me, you'll be able to fit your camera with a couple lenses, sunglasses, headphones, etc in the top compartment easily. The remote part is a bit tight for the bigger p3 standard remote

This is the first bag review in a long time where I can have a real feel of the bag. Now it's like I already used it and know it well before even buying it. And guess what ? I'm buying it now ! Thanks a lot man. Good logic in your handling ;)

I really wanted the official DJI Phantom 4 bag to work for me, but I just have too many other things I'd like to bring with me so I guess I'll be ordering this bag. Looks like it is just what I need. Thanks for making this for us! Wouldn't hurt to speak a little, unless you're mute or something. ;-)

Nice setup. I just managed to fit a P4P with the remote, two batteries, and the charging gear as well as an 80D, 16-35 and 70-200 2.8. I will also add a rMBP and an iPad mini 4. It's REALLY snug and a bit heavy. I just hope it doesn't get stolen or I am out of a LOT of money :P

Regarding hand luggage, I've flown with the following planes/airliners: - Boeing 737 (fit's perfectly in the overhead compartment) - Airliner: SAS and Norwegian - Airbus A320 (fit's perfectly in the overhead compartment) - Airliner: SAS - CRJ900/700 (fit's perfectly in the overhead compartment, but the bag has to orientated sideways): SAS - Dash 800 - did NOT fit the overhead compartment. I had to remove the Phantom in order to squeeze the bag in place. While flying with this bag, I would avoid flying with the Dash 800-series (Airliner: Widerøe, Norwegian).

Hi, thanks for this review. You point the low motors and their position in the backpack. It seems a weak position. Have you proved it walking? Any problem?
@BearKire

I've been using it for a while now, and I don't consider it as a weak point. I could have bought some plastic caps to cover the motors, but everything seems fine so far. I pointed on the motors to highlight that the area had an extra layer of protection, so the motors don't drill a hole in the bag. Note to self; I should have talked during the recording of this 'review'. However, it's more like an overview of the bag. At the point I bought the bag there was no youtube clips (or reviews) of it.

Hi, nice video. Can you bring the backpack as hand luggage on a plane?
@BearKire

Thanks! Yes and no, it depends on the airliner you are flying with. I would imagine most airliners would let you fly with it, but I know Turkish Airlines don't allow the phantom batteries. So far I've been flying with SAS, Norwegian and Widerøe. No problems.

Any chance to fit an DJI OSMO, a small DSLR and the Phantom? And can you bring the backpack as hand luggage on a plane?
@BearKire

+TTyl Forgot to add the DSLR clip. The Nikon D600 fits the top compartment - so yeah, both the Osmo and a mid-size DSLR will fit.

+BearKire Thats an Osmo and a DSLR together in top compartment right? Seriously considering this backpack
@BearKire

I don't think they will fit together, but it depends on the size on the DSLR. I belive you can fit the Osmo in one of the red bags though.. I don't own a Osmo myself, but I belive you can take it apart?
