Making shrubs is such an easy way to preserve fruit. I don’t know about you, but I love a good bar hack that saves me money, especially one that is eco friendly and zero waste. I always enjoy shrubs in a boozy stirred cocktail, I like the unexpected zing! How do you like using shrubs in cocktails?

Such a fabulous way to elevate non-alcoholic drinks and cocktails with alcohol. This shrub is amazing and it's a favourite flavour. I love mango. This cocktail riff on an Old Fashioned is a must make. It looks so delicious. I thought you'd need more mango shrub - but so interesting to see half an ounce. I am learning!! Thanks and cheers!! 🙂

Agreed! It’s one of my favorite things to add to club soda. Its quite acidic, so a little goes a long way. Especially in this cocktail where I am not shaking it, there’s less dilution. Cheers!

Shrubs just recently had a comeback. After the invention of Coca Cola and the like, they fell into obscurity. I love using them, but I also like really tart beverages

I saw a tip for peeling and separating mango pit from flesh by using a boning knife so you feel the pit edges through the knife.

Hello! Thank you so much for watching! It will keep for at least 6 months. The acidity from the vinegar will keep the sugars from fermenting. I do store mine in the fridge.

It looks pretty good . But this is an ufo in France.. "shrub" What this the interest comparing to classic juices, syrup ,or liqueur, puree ?
@TheWeePearl
11 ай бұрын
Hello! Great question. Shrubs have higher acidity, so they will last longer than a juice, syrup or purée. They also do not contain alcohol so they can be more versatile for non alcoholic beverages as well.
