Atypical flora, diverse fauna, essential functions for the planet and for us ... The mangrove is a fascinating ecosystem. At the request of the BOREA laboratory of the National Museum of Natural History, I had the chance to go to the French Antilles to discover this very special environment. Unfortunately, these forests are receding from year to year and even if they may seem hostile to us at first glance, it is essential to conserve them. The BOREA laboratory is also one of those actors who conduct research on these forests to better understand them and thus better protect them.
