It seems to me that Soloff and Young have the sound of a whole big band. It's impressive to listen how a trumpet-tenor section could be so explosive.

John Patitucci. My goodness. I'm a bassist, and that solo left me friggin' speechless. Awesome. Now I'm going to go sit in a corner and cry.

Go George Young!...Great tenor sound...& He could pass off as an Aussie Cattle station owner/drover in that hat. Lol

Lew was a monster. I'm wondering if he reprised that solo every time they played the tune in BS and T or if he did a different one. Does anyone know the answer?

1st I thought ...this is too slow...again they did it so well! This is totally unexpected! So o good! The trumpeter...did it AGAIN! THE LONGEST HOLDING I'VE EVER SEEN/ HEARD!!! AMAZING! I WOULD FAINT IF I TRIED! ( I'm not a trumpeter btw.) They all sound EXQUISITE!!! AMAZING PLAYERS! EVERYONE IN THIS BAND CAN TAKE A SOLO!!! SO SAD the trumpeter passed away! I heard it was a train derailing accident! Hopefully he didn't suffer much at all! RIP.

Soloff is a monster. But I'm biased. I'm a trumpeter.
