I've been using these RCPP solderedless S7 connectors for several years now. I personally crimp a non-insulated ferrule over the over the wire to protect the thin and fragile wire strands from potentially getting crushed or even fractured by the set screws. I also do not use any Loctite or other adhesive on the set screws, as I feel an adhesive would insulate electrical conduction from the set screw to the connector. These connectors are also quite easy to disassemble; I grasp the plastic housing with a pair of pliers, apply enough pressure to expose the split between the plastic tabs, insert a small eyeglasses-size flat screw driver in the exposed split, and twist the flat head driver to separate the exposed plastic housing split.

To those who read above: DO NOT USE FERRULES OVER THE WIRES. AGAIN, DO NOT USE FERRULES OVER THE WIRES. it completely defeats the purpose of the solderless connectors which Nick himself mentioned. The set screws are not what transfers power, the set screws reverse crimp the wires onto the inside of the housing. It is the wires transferring power to the connector itself. The connector is gold plated so extremely conductive and high quality electrically active base material. If you install the connector CORRECTLY following what Nick Maxwell said, even when you remove the set screws, it is still hard to pull the wire out! With ferrules you are completely shooting these connectors in the foot. It's a real shame this guy is literally going around everywhere passing out this complete disinformation and actually a dangerous practice.

12S packs are great, they are actually quite common in Germany since many years. Until recently, there was only one good charger to work with them - great to hear that the market is expanding, hopefully more ppl will move away from split-packs and parallel charging and enjoy true 12S packs. Those solderless connectors look nice. I wanted to switch over to rcproplus, but no shops carry them here in Germany. What a bummer.

I don't buy 12s sticks packs for two main cost reasons. 1: if a cell goes bad, it is cheaper to replace one 6s versus an entire 12s. 2.If you crash and damage one pack, again you will only have to purchase one 6s pack versus an entire 12s pack

Why all my S6 and D6 solderless connects does not come with the full grub screw?, each bullet comes with two holes for the screws , but the kit of solderless connectors does not come with all grub screws.

I would rather prefer to have a single 12S Pack with 2 6S Balancer Leads to be on the flexible side in terms of loading Equipment. I already have one customized 4500 12S 55C single pack with 2 6S leads - directly manufactured by Maniax on request- great!

I’ve been using these solderless connectors, I love them. I’ve seen the assembly videos, is there a disassemble video? Cause I’ve stabbed my thumbs with a flat head screw driver many times😂

I use a single-edge razor blade. I lay the connector on it's side holding the wire with the left hand, and place the edge of the blade in the joint and rotate the blade clockwise (away from myself) and it pops open.

I disassemble them with a medical scalpel. After some practice it only takes me a second to open the connectors without damaging it (not even scratches). A good tool will do the job!

Me too… however… the “set screw” is tapered. It doesnt actually work like a set screw how we have in mind. It actually pushes the wire strand (just like a crimp) against the walls of the connector. I tightened and removed the set screws multiple times bench testing and it never actually crushes the wire strands under the screw!! Its really quite impressive!!
@J.McFarlin

Exactly as Nick explained, the set screws are totally conical tipped in design to not to be a standard set screw like most of us are used to. Really the pointed conical tip of the screw is made to displace the wire within the bullet which forces the wires against the inner walls of the bullet being used creating a rock solid mechanical connection. …….feel free to contact me anytime with any questions at all!!!!
