The wedding saw Hooda donning the customary Manipuri white dhoti (Pheijom), kurta, and turban (Kokyet), while Laishram sported the traditional Manipuri ensemble of Potloi, a vibrant red cylindrical skirt, paired with a dark green blouse adorned with jewelry.

-----------------
Randeep Hooda and Lin Lasisharam tied the knot in a traditional Meitei wedding ceremony. Their unconventional Bollywood wedding has created a lot of curiosity.
This garland is made of Kundo (local variant of jasmine) and it holds great significance as the couple has to preserve it for their lifetime.
Notably the bride has to make the garland herself on the wedding day.
Talking about their traditional outfits, the bride, Lin was dressed in a Potloi, a cylindrical skirt made of thick fabric with heavily starched threads to keep it in place.
While generally confused with bamboo it's the starch that keeps the skirt in place. It is often ornamented with satin and velvet material, as well as gems and glitter that are carefully handcrafted.
Randeep was also dressed as a traditional Meitei groom.
The groom's attire consists of a white cotton dhoti, a kurta, and a Kokyet ( a cloth wrapped around the head).
White in their attire is considered a sacred color that is used in Meitei weddings
With only a few younger generations wearing other colors now.
At the end of each phera the bride has to greet the groom with folded hands.
Before the wedding, Randeep shared that he was excited to experience the Manipuri tradition.
"I hope I don't make any mistakes. And we have been talking about their culture, Manipuri culture and all that for a long time. I am looking forward to it and hope that all goes well.”
The wedding was an intimate affair, attended only by the bride and the groom's close friends and families.
Prior to their wedding, the couple sought blessings from the Ipudhou Marjing Khubamlen temple in Imphal
They also paid a visit to the relief camp in violence-torn Manipur to pray for their future and peace for their state.
