it's the face earth scientists had when they discovered that life not only existed in the deepest parts of the oceans, but it absolutely thrived around volcanic vents, where we wouldn't have thought life could exist. Where life CAN exist, it WILL exist.

That's how we prefer to see ourselves, rather than creatures only marginally capable of creating technology and one in which it took thousands of years to invent the stirrup.

Think so? Homo Sapiens is along for 200 000 years now. The same shape, same brain, same emotions and capabillities. Historians are basically saying that we lived in caves for 199 000 years and only the last 10 000 years we slowly started getting things together. But our oldest scripts speak of ETs and technology. Just put bias aside and use common sense for a moment. Something's strange?

@@MichaelWinter-ss6lx so, in other words it took exponentially longer for humans to invent the stirrup than the other guy claimed

A neat solution to the so called "Fermi Paradox". But we now believe the stars are born a bit nearer to the galactic core, and slowly spiral outwards. 4.5 billion years is much time for a positional change. Thats 18 orbits around the galaxy. Our system had just become 18, when it managed to produce _intelligence_ .... 🚀🏴☠️🎸

That was likely in reference to the Planets orbiting the Stars.
