One thing I forgot to mention, you need a correct powered to manual conversion bracket. There is more information on this in the description of the video as well as where to get a high quality bracket.

I have a 93 and it started having leaking issues after I took it from AZ to AK. I had a good friend of mine who is the most competent mechanic I know rebuild the power steering, but the best re-ring kit he found gave up after about a month of use. So, I am done with the leaks and am going to convert it to manual. Thank you for your video, it will be a boon to my efforts.

Now, that's a crying shame - swapping power for manual. I JUST bought a 97 sol S, 5sp that did NOT come with oem power steering. I'm getting ready to do JUST THE OPPOSITE - install oem power steering and get rid of the manual steering rack. Power steering is the only way to go.

So when putting the new rack in do any of the mounting bolts line up. I know I need the bracket for the one side but should the other side mount in just fine. Seems mine's not lining up could I have the wrong rack. I was told this was from a EG manual rack but it doesn't seem to be lining up the bolt holes

If you're talking about the tie rod ends, nope. I used the ones right off my automatic rack and it worked fine.

This is interesting, I have a question. I have a 1995 Honda Del Sol, pretty much stock all around with about 201k miles and I have always wondered why it felt so hard to turn. My fluids have been replaced, belts been replaced, but my steering wheel still feels difficult to turn unlike any other car I've driven. My last idea was that it might be the steering wheel the previous owner installed, and maybe he tightened it too much or something. I was wondering if I could hear your thoughts and opinions on this as it is my daily driver and the harder turning does bother me all the time when I drive.

Most likely you're having issues with the pump not circulating fluid. If it makes noise or grinds that's a sign that it's bad. I don't think a tight steering wheel will cause that issue though
