Following years of negotiation with what seemed to be an ever increasing number of heritage, environmental and planning authorities permission was finally granted for the installation of an Archimedes Screw diven turbine generator at an 16th Century Water Mill. Standing on the banks of the river Thames at Mapledurham Manor, the mill sits at the foot of the Chiltern Hills in South Oxfordshire, England and is the last remaining working corn and grist mill on the river.
