I think the Chaconne at 33' is by Gaspard de Le Roux, not Marais.

I've only listened to the start but I can tell you right away the first piece is a solo in a minor for theorbo by Robert de Visee. I know this because it's my warmup piece on theorbo.

An absolute gem! Marais is one of my favorites, particularly the viol pieces, and this is an excellent recording. Many thanks to Brilliant Classics for this. You made my week.

Bravo to all the performers! What a disgrace it is (to all involved in the posting) to publish no information as to who is playing, and what instruments. The name of the ensemble alone is not enough to help us to appreciate the artists properly. Please show more RESPECT for the individual musicians! They are the ones creating the beautiful music here. Tell us who is on this recording, and what they are playing. Thanks, from a devout listener...

There is something haunting about that girl on the right, I really want to know who she was, if she indeed was a real human. She is not actrattive in a romantic way or anything, but I just cant stop looking at her face... Its super weird...
