One of my favourite T.Rex recordings from the under rated Tanx album. So much more to T.Rex than the monster hit singles.

Remember. Marc started a lot of what are now icons either with his TV Show or writing for them. He was buried with Jimmy Hendrix Ring. He was a legend back then. Still is don’t kid yourself. His close friends Elton Beatles Hendrix.

Because of the mania following Marc had in his native UK , his was touted as being the next Beatles and it was assumed he would conquer USA but it didn’t happen . He had a hit with Bang a Gong but that was about it . Still in order to be heralded as the new Beatles you had to have great performing and songwriting talent and Marc definitely hit that mark.

@@twisttrax As painful as it is too say it I think one rock journalist of the time interpreted it accurately . “ The problem is TRex is considered too teenybooperish for the Tull/Yes crowd . The young teens who have listened consider them some weird kind of intellectuals “. Still the most insightful comment on TRex was on a thread in the You Tube age . “ Marc Bolan and Co. was about ten to twelve years too early for the United States ! “

Steady on soldier, watch what your doing to my girl, Steady on soldier, watch what your doing to my girl. Electric slim, and the factory hen man, they ain't my kind, At dead of night, like a fiery kite, you've been on my mind.
