I usually wouldn't bother with a minimal visual presentation like this, but this was excellent. You really touched on all the pertinent points, with no unnecessary fluff. I've been fishing over 30 years now, but have recently gotten almost addicted to lure fishing, especially sea bass. Bass fishing has improved drastically over the years this far up the East Coast of Ireland (Dublin) and the range of good lures really compliments it. I'm so heartened to see the prevalence of catch and release increase over the years and care for the quarry show through. Again, excellent presentation.👍Sub definitely earned.

Another thing...I have a mate who swears by the "Need an onshore wind, need it to be dark, need it to be this and that...etc". My question is....so if the conditions aren't optimal, do the Bass just sit there waiting? Surely they go through a cycle every 24 hours....feed, rest, feed, rest, etc. Otherwise, a period of high pressure (for example) will see them not doing anything. As predators, surely food is searched out when it is needed, irrespective of what we perceive are ideal conditions?

Nice one, Marc. Enjoyed...thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge. Interesting about water temp.....surely if the Bass are there, regardless of temp they will be feeding? Otherwise what are they doing? Not in any way a criticism, just wondering?

Many thanks for this tutorial. I've learned a lot, but it may have been easier to illustrate where you can't catch bass, but good stuff all the same. Raymondo.
